Andhra Pradesh government today issued a new GO allowing a hike in ticket prices for Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ for 10 days. The government permitted all the theaters to increase an amount of Rs 75 per ticket over and above admission rates.
In other words, the theater owners can sell the tickets additionally to the current ticket rates. In cities, single-screen theaters can sell the tickets at Rs 236 and multiplexes for Rs 265 for 10 days from the date of release.
Rajamouli and producer Danayya recently met Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and requested allowing a hike in ticket prices.
The government has agreed to permit an increasing amount for ticket rates for films made with more than Rs 100 crore (cost of production).
