Rukmini Vasanth has become one of the hottest names in South Indian cinema, charming both youth and family audiences with her beauty and acting prowess. Her scintillating performance in a role with negative shades in the recently released “Kantara: Chapter 1” further skyrocketed her popularity.
As always, Telugu producers were quick to approach her for upcoming projects. However, following the massive success of “Kantara: Chapter 1,” Rukmini has reportedly increased her remuneration significantly, placing her on par with top actresses like Rashmika Mandanna. This steep hike is said to be one of the reasons she hasn’t announced her next set of films yet, despite the newfound craze around her.
Currently, Rukmini is working on Yash’s mega-budget pan-India film Toxic. Given the scale of the project, the makers have no issues accommodating her revised fee.
She is also in discussions to play the female lead in a Mani Ratnam film, though nothing has been finalized. Her next possible Telugu film is NTR’s Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, but the team is yet to lock her officially.
So, while Rukmini Vasanth is riding high on the success of “Kantara: Chapter 1,” she has yet to formally sign her next slate of films.
