Nivetha Thomas and Regina Cassandra are acting together in an action film. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the action-comedy is the remake of a Korean drama. Even as the shooting is progressing, producers D Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati have inked a deal with an OTT platform.
“Yes, I have closed deals for Saakini Daakini, Dongallunnaru Jagratta, and Dancing Queen. These content-based movies are being produced by our production house. We sold them to OTT companies for direct release,” Suresh Babu informed the media.
He has a strong opinion that audiences would not come to the theaters to watch such films. They are best to be watched on OTT platforms only. “Audiences are returning to theaters only for big films and during festivals,” he said.
No wonder that Rana starrer ‘Virata Parvam’ is also planning for a direct-OTT release.
