Sai Pallavi, a highly talented actress, gained immense popularity after starring in a string of successful Telugu films. However, she has recently slowed down in signing Telugu projects, shifting her focus towards Bollywood. She currently has multiple high-profile Hindi films in the pipeline, including the magnum opus “Ramayana”.
Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. The film, being made in two parts, has already completed the shoot for its first installment. Kannada superstar Yash plays Ravana and also serves as a co-producer.
While it’s well known that Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, as leading superstars, are being paid over Rs 100 crore each, the surprising revelation is that Sai Pallavi is also receiving a significantly high paycheck, which almost double her usual remuneration.
In “Thandel,” her most recent Telugu film, she was reportedly paid Rs 3.5 crore. For “Ramayana,” however, she will be receiving Rs 12 crore for the two parts—6 crore per part—marking a record remuneration in her career.
Given that “Ramayana” is a mythological epic aimed at a global audience and made on a massive scale, the producers opted to pay Sai Pallavi a premium fee befitting her pivotal role.
