Samantha is anxious to know the response for her maiden web series, The Family Man 2, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video in two days (June 4). As the web series has landed in political controversy, Samantha has stopped promoting it aggressively.
She is more eager to get feedback from the audience for many reasons. First and foremost, she has come out of her comfort zone of playing a lead heroine with positive qualities. In this web series, she has played a terrorist, a complete departure from her image.
Plus, based on the feedback for this show, she would decide whether to sign new web dramas or not.
At present, Samantha is acting in Gunasekhar’s ‘Shaakuntalam’, a fantasy film based on the subplot of ‘Mahabharat’. She will also share screen space with Nayanthara in director Vignesh Shivan’s film.
