Samantha: Theatrical revenue for Maa Inti Bangaaram is a big bonus

Samantha Ruth Prabhu says the theatrical success of “Maa Inti Bangaaram” has come as a pleasant bonus for the team, as the film had already secured much of its investment before release.
Speaking at the film’s success meet in Hyderabad, Samantha explained that the they adopted a cautious approach while planning the project, given that she was returning to the big screen after a three-year gap.
“Because I was making a comeback after three years, we didn’t know whether even one ticket would sell. So we tried to recover as much of the budget as possible before release. Anything beyond that would be a bonus, and what a bonus it turned out to be,” she said.
According to Samantha, the team ensured financial safety through pre-release business deals, reducing the pressure on the film’s theatrical performance. With the movie now performing strongly at the box office, the theatrical revenues have become an added reward.
“Maa Inti Bangaaram” has emerged as a successful comeback vehicle for Samantha, earning positive word of mouth and solid collections in theaters.
The actress thanked audiences for embracing the film and turning what was initially viewed as a cautious venture into a box-office success story.
Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film was produced by Samantha and her husband Raj Nidimoru on Tralala Moving Pictures.
