Samantha is all set to commence the shoot of director Gunasekhar’s mythological drama, Shaakuntalam. Gunasekhar is immersed in the pre-production and the regular shoot will begin from March 20th in Hyderabad. Huge sets are being erected.

After the historical drama ‘Rudhramadevi’, Gunasekhar is helming a mythological film. Dil Raju is financing and backing this project. Malayalam actor Dev Mohan has been cast as the male lead.
Samantha is taking home huge remuneration for this film. She initially rejected the offer but it was Dil Raju who convinced her to sign up. Samantha has projects like Vignesh Shivan’s bilingual on the sets.
