For the first time in her career, Samantha will perform an item song. The ‘Rangasthalam’ actress has agreed to do an item song in director Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa The Rise’. Starring Allu Arjun as the lead hero, the film has Rashmika Mandanna.

Samantha has agreed to do the item song after Sukumar has requested it personally.
Samantha also needs big projects now as she is setting her career on track after getting separated from her husband Naga Chaitanya. She has announced heroine-centric films, but she needs to be part of star-studded projects. So, Samantha seems to have said yes on these grounds.
The item song will be canned later this month. Devi Sri Prasad has already recorded the song.
