Just recently, producer Suniel Narang informed the media that an OTT company imposed a strict condition on the release of “Kubera.” According to him, if the makers failed to release the film in June, the OTT platform planned to deduct 10% from the agreed payment.

This reflects the current reality for Indian film producers. OTT companies are increasingly enforcing strict release timelines. If producers delay films arbitrarily, their OTT deals risk being reduced or even cancelled.

Now, we hear that Amazon Prime Video has set a similar condition for the makers of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu.” As per their agreement, the producer must release the film by the end of July.

Amazon has already shown flexibility by adjusting its agreement twice, after the film missed its previously announced release dates of May 9 and June 12. However, this time the OTT platform has issued a firm ultimatum — the film must be released before July ends.

Producer A.M. Ratnam is now expected to announce a new release date soon.

“Hari Hara Veera Mallu” stars Pawan Kalyan and Nidhhi Agerwal. The period drama is directed by Jyothi Krishna.
