Samantha’s comeback film has also been postponed, adding to the growing list of mid-range movies opting out of the May summer window. The month is turning dull at the box office as several films back out of their planned releases.
Tralala Moving Pictures officially announced that “Maa Inti Bangaram” will now release worldwide on June 19, 2026, instead of its earlier date of May 15. The decision was taken to avoid a clash with the ongoing Indian Premier League season.
“Maa Inti Bangaram” marks Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s comeback after nearly a three-year break due to health and personal reasons. She married director Raj Nidimoru in December last year, and this is her first film after her second marriage. Raj Nidimoru is also serving as the showrunner, while Nandini Reddy is directing the film.
The team had already paused promotions, and they are expected to resume them in early June.
