Sharwanand and director Sampath Nandi have joined hands for a period drama. The film was announced recently. Currently busy promoting “Odela 2”, featuring Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead role and set for release on April 17, Sampath Nandi revealed many things about his upcoming films.
He said he wrote the script for “Odela 2” after observing his wife as a Lord Shiva devotee over the years, and these day-to-day life incidents subconsciously drove him to pen the story.
“Odela 2” is directed by Ashok and written and co-produced by Sampath Nandi.
“In one line, Odela 2 is about soul versus supernatural powers, or Atma vs Paramatma. I have seen persons like Shiva Shakti, which Tamannaah portrayed in the film, around my native village. During my childhood, I ridiculed such persons, but only after I matured in life did I understand the true meaning of these Shiva Shakti persons who turn into Naga Sadhus later in their lives,” he added.
He stated that ‘Odela 2’ will provide a different visual experience.
Talking about Sharwanand’s movie, Sampath Nandi revealed this: “The story is based on real incidents near a village on the border of Maharashtra and the Adilabad district in Telangana. The story has a 1960’s setting.”
