Among Indian film directors, SS Rajamouli is the highest paid. He earns more than Rs 150 crore. Other top directors include Tamil filmmakers Shankar and Atlee, Bollywood directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Raj Kumar Hirani, and Telugu director Sukumar, who command salaries ranging from Rs 50 to 100 crore.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is the most recent filmmaker to enter the race. The director and his brother received a payment of Rs 200 crore for “Animal,” his biggest hit to date, as they were partners in the film’s production. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s earnings would have exceeded Rs 125 crore.
He will next direct “Spirit”, a crime drama starring Prabhas. In the film, Prabhas will play a cop.
Following the massive success of “Animal” and Prabhas’ status as one of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, the collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga is expected to do extremely well in theaters, digital, and OTT.
T Series is bankrolling the film, and Bhushan Kumar will remain the primary producer. But Vanga’s brother Pranay will also work as a co-producer.
According to our sources, Sandeep Reddy Vanga will be paid more for this film, in addition to a share of the revenue. He will now earn money comparable to SS Rajamouli if this film becomes a Rs 1000 crore blockbuster.
