Sankranthi 2022: Family entertainer and youth dramas in the fray

Had a new wave of COVID-19 cases not begun, we would have now been watching Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’. After ‘Radhe Shyam’ also got postponed indefinitely, there was much confusion about the Sankranthi releases. Last week, as many as eight small films announced their Sankranthi 2022 release plans.

Finally, only three notable movies have confirmed their dates this festival season.

Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya starrer ‘Bangarraju’ is the only star-studded film this season. Plus, this one is a family entertainer. The other three have chances to attract the youngsters more.

Since ‘Rowdy Boys’ is coming from Dil Raju’s stable, the film is getting all the hype and promotion. NTR unveiled the trailer. Allu Arjun and Prabhas have also agreed to promote the film. ‘Rowdy Boys’ marks the debut of Ashish, Dil Raju’s nephew. The film also secured good theaters.

‘Hero’ is the other youthful entertainer releasing this Sankranthi. The film marks the debut of Mahesh Babu’s nephew Ashok Galla. Directed by Sriram Aditya, the movie has Nidhhi Agerwal as the heroine.
