Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ locks Christmas 2026

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has officially announced the release date of his upcoming action thriller “King,” effectively blocking the lucrative Christmas 2026 box-office window for other pan-Indian releases.

Reuniting with director Siddharth Anand after the blockbuster success of “Pathaan,” Shah Rukh Khan revealed that “King” will hit theatres worldwide on December 24, 2026. 

The recently unveiled teaser, packed with intense action set against snowy backdrops, has generated massive buzz.

In the film, Shah Rukh Khan plays a battle-hardened mentor, while his daughter Suhana Khan makes her big-screen debut as his protégé. Deepika Padukone stars as the female lead. The film promises a high-stakes blend of stylish action and emotional drama.

Adding to its pan-Indian appeal, “King” will also be dubbed and released in Telugu, making it a major holiday attraction across markets.
