
Singer Daler Mehndi has been arrested and sent to two years of imprisonment in a human trafficking case. The case has been going on since 2003.
In 2018, Daler Mehndi was sentenced to two years in jail by a Patiala court. He went for an appeal against a two-year prison term. His appeal was dismissed by a district court in Patiala today. He was sent to jail as he was on bail so far.
He and his brother allegedly took money from some persons to take them abroad by showing them as troupe members. The human trafficking case was filed against him in 2003. He was arrested in 2018 and then released on a bail bond. Now, his appeal was dismissed.
Daler Mehndi sang many songs in Telugu that included “Saahore Baahubali”, “Banthi Poola Janaki” (Baadshah), “Jorse Jorse” (Magadheera), and “Reddy Ikkada Sooudu” (Aravinda Sametha).
