Janhvi Kapoor appears to have gone silent on “Peddi” following its theatrical release, sparking speculation about her reaction to the film and the controversy surrounding the portrayal of her character.
Before the release, Janhvi actively participated in the film’s promotional campaign alongside Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana. However, since the film hit theaters on June 4, she has not made any public comments about its performance or shared posts related to the movie on her social media platforms.
Her absence was particularly noticeable at the “Peddi” Thank You Meet held in Hyderabad after the film completed a successful opening weekend at the box office. While Ram Charan, Buchi Babu Sana, and other members of the team attended the event, Janhvi Kapoor was not present.
Industry circles have linked her silence to the criticism surrounding certain scenes involving her character. The actress reportedly did not expect the backlash over what some viewers described as an overly sexualized presentation.

Earlier, director Buchi Babu Sana had addressed the criticism and removed some of the objectionable portions following audience feedback. There were also reports that Janhvi had watched only selected portions of the film before its release rather than the complete version.
However, her decision to stay away from post-release celebrations and maintain silence about the film has become a talking point among fans.
