Singer Mangli’s recent birthday celebration has landed in controversy after Cyberabad police reportedly raided a resort near Chevella following a tip-off about drug usage at the event. According to multiple media outlets, the party in question was linked to Mangli, one of Telugu cinema’s most popular playback singers known for numerous chart-topping hits.
While the Telangana Police, in a statement on X.com, emphasized that strict action would be taken against drug use “regardless of one’s fame,” the post did not directly mention Mangli by name.
Reports suggest that a large number of celebrities were present at the party. During the raid, authorities allegedly seized significant quantities of marijuana and various foreign liquor bottles. Preliminary tests reportedly returned positive results for drug substances in some samples.
The police have registered a case and initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.
