At first, Sreeleela was in talks with the ‘SSMB28’ production team to play the second female lead opposite superstar Mahesh Babu. The story calls for a starring duo of female protagonists, so the film must cast two. Pooja Hegde will play the lead role.
However, when the story underwent many changes upon the insistence of Mahesh Babu, director Trivikram thought of roping in a top actress for the second female lead as well. For this reason, a few Bollywood beauties were considered for the part.
Now, things have changed. The director Trivikram and the film’s producer, S Radhakrishna, are currently debating whether or not to stick with the original choice, Sreeleela. After the Sankranthi festival, things will become more clear.
On the other hand, the regular filming of the movie will start next week. During the first shooting schedule, Mahesh Babu and the rest of the cast will appear. Pooja Hegde is scheduled to arrive at the set the following month.
If Sreeleela comes on board, it will be a big boost to her career. ‘Pelli SandaD’ and ‘Dhamaka’ were both huge hits for her in quick succession.
