There is a talk that Ram Charan plays a theater artiste in director Sukumar’s film. Hence the title ‘Rangasthalam’ was chosen. But sources close to the team say this is a misconception. Charan neither is a theater artiste nor is the movie set in the backdrop of stage plays!
The movie is a love story between a rich girl and poor boy in a village in coastal Andhra. The movie is set 1985. ‘Rangasthalam’ is this village’s name. Hence the title was selected.
