Taapsee Pannu has once again stirred discussion with her comments about her early days in the South film industry.

During promotions for her latest Hindi film “Assi,” the actress revealed that she was allegedly asked by some South filmmakers to wear padded bras while shooting. She said the request embarrassed her at the time and made her uncomfortable on the sets.

Taapsee also pointed out that there were very few women technicians working on certain sets during her initial years in the industry. However, she did not mention any specific filmmaker or production banner while making these claims.

The actress began her career in Telugu cinema before transitioning to Bollywood. She later gained critical acclaim with the Hindi film “Pink,” which significantly reshaped her image as a performance-driven actor.

This is not the first time Taapsee has spoken about her experiences in the South. In the past, she had made remarks about the filmmaking style of veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao, which had sparked backlash among sections of Telugu audiences.

Her latest statements have once again ignited debate on social media, with some supporting her for speaking up about personal experiences and others questioning the timing of such comments during film promotions.
