Thaman makes a sly dig at Nani!

Thaman Nani

It is no secret that all is not well between actor Nani and music director S Thaman. What caused differences between them is not known to us, but they don’t share friendly vibes is certain. Insiders say Nani got miffed with Thaman during the making of ‘Tuck Jagadish’. Nani hired Gopi Sundar for background music for the film after the problem with Thaman cropped up.

Thaman, on the other hand, has a different version to tell. Now, Thaman took to Twitter to post about his views about filmmaking. Without naming anyone, he mentioned that any film is never a ‘one man’s show’, it is always an effort of all the cast and crew.

What is the context of his tweet? Many have read it as Thaman’s sly remark at Nani.

In one of his recent promotional interviews for his latest release ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, Nani said any technician or artist’s work should not singularly dominate the film. “A film is a failure if people talk about a musician’s work or cinematographer’s visuals or actor’s performance over the film. A film should not be one man’s show,” Nani said.

Thaman, in his tweet, said that it is never a one-man show. If we read his tweets carefully, it is pretty clear what he is implying.

“We call it a Complete FILM when all the crafts Together Excel in all formats… It’s never so called Dominated Crafts …lol it’s the Deeper UNDERSTANDING of a Film Knowing its depth in dialogues it’s Narration & making It dive in Smooth to the Next Sequences. So Without a Great Visualisation Great Making Great characterisations Well Written Scripts With True Emotions Narrated in a Proper Pace Directed Magnanimously & Standout Performances from the Artists… It’s Never One Man Show … We love CINEMA & WE DIE FOR IT,” Thaman tweeted.

Music director and actor Nani are both friendly folks, don’t like to rake up controversies. But they seem to have differences of opinion.

Thaman is currently busy working for big-ticket movies like director Shankar – Ram Charan’s film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, SSMB28, etc. Nani, on the other hand, won great reviews for his performance as ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ and the film is doing good business at the theaters.
