‘The Raja Saab’ Trailer: Prabhas turns demon in spooky spectacle

The much-awaited trailer of “The Raja Saab” starring Prabhas has been released on the occasion of the Saddula Bathukamma festival. The trailer boasts stunning visual effects and grand production values, and it also marks Prabhas’s first attempt at the horror-fantasy genre in his career.

Even director Maruthi, who has so far been known for his mass-oriented comedies and youthful dramas with double-meaning dialogues, has switched gears in terms of execution and scale. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, who recently delivered a massive hit with “Mirayi,” the horror drama begins with a hypnotist telling Prabhas to listen only to his words, and then cuts to the song “Koi Yahan Aha Nache Nache” from the film “Disco Dancer.”

The trailer goes on to reveal a haunted house, a grandfather’s spirit played by Sanjay Dutt, and various spooky elements. It also showcases the characters of Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar, who add glam to the story.

Interestingly, the trailer features some mystic creatures as well. It concludes with Prabhas in an aged getup, smoking a cigar and declaring that he is the demon.

The three-minute trailer blends supernatural elements, romance, and action.

Co-starring Sanjay Dutt as the grandfather and Boman Irani in another key role, “The Raja Saab” features Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies. The film is set for a Sankranti release on January 9, 2026.
