Approximately 7 to 8 films, including dubbed films, will be released during the 2024 Sankranthi festival. Some of these films have already closed theatrical deals, while others are in the process of doing so.
“Guntur Kaaram” starring Mahesh Babu has regular distributors. Producer S Radha Krishna’s films are typically distributed by his regular distributors. Theatrical deals for Ravi Teja’s “Eagle” and Venkatesh’s “Saindhav” are currently being negotiated.
“Family Star” starring Vijay Deverakonda does not require such a prior agreement because producer Dil Raju can arrange theaters for his film at any time and on any day.
“Hanu-Man,” which is also aiming for a Sankranthi release, has yet to finalize its deals. Though announced for Sankranthi, Nagarjuna’s “Naa Saami Ranga” will have to wait and see how things go. It has yet to enter into theatrical agreements.
Dubbed films such as “Lal Salaam,” in which Rajinikanth plays an extended guest role, and Dhanush’s “Captain Miller” have yet to find distributors. Even if these films secure theatrical distribution, they will struggle to fill enough theaters.
Hence, there’s still lot confusion about Sankranthi 2024 releases.
