Dulquer Salmaan was an original cast member of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s ambitious film “Thug Life”. Dulquer Salmaan agreed to play a significant role, however he backed out due to scheduling issues.

Mani Ratnam has altered the entire cast. He also paused the shooting for a bit. Now that Dulquer’s call sheets are available, Mani Ratnam quickly snatched them and offered a different role in the same project.
Jayam Ravi, who had previously withdrawn from the production, has now reentered the project. Simbu is another new addition to the cast. He will be portraying two characters in the film.
The film is scheduled to commence on April 20th. Trisha is the female lead. Abhirami and Aishwarya Lekshmi play other roles.
