Films like ‘Major’, which were scheduled to hit the screens in 2022, got postponed due to COVID-19. But two other biggies that are also in the February fray have stuck to the plans.
As of now, the makers of Ravi Teja’s ‘Khiladi’ and Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ are reiterating that they would not postpone their movies. ‘Khiladi’ is scheduled for Feb 11 release, while ‘Bheemla Nayak’ comes on Feb 25.
These makers believe that the COVID-19 cases will go down after two weeks. Hence, the team of ‘Khiladi’ has resumed promotions. ‘Bheemla Nayak’ has done enough publicity already. They will start working on TV interviews and promotional events if the COVID-19 situation is under control.
February will also witness the release of small-budgeted movies like ‘DJ Tullu’, ‘Shekar’ and ‘Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali’. These will not face any hurdles for release.
But the theaters will only see activity if ‘Bheemla Nayak’ hits the theaters on the said date. People have shown little interest to step into the theaters to watch small-budgeted movies. They rather prefer OTT space to watch such films.
