‘Uppena’ starring newcomers Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty was a roaring hit at the box office. The film that was released in February had connected with all sections of audiences in the movie theaters.

The love story premiered on Star Maa recently. Interestingly, the TV audiences had also watched it in huge numbers. ‘Uppena’ had garnered 18.5 TVR, which is among the highest watched movies on the small screen.
‘Uppena’ marked the directorial debut of writer Buchi Babu Sana. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film had collected more than a share of 40 crore rupees in theaters. However, it didn’t make much impression on the OTT platform.
