Ustaad Bhagat Singh: Producers bet big on business

Pawan Kalyan, actor and Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, tasted massive success last year with OG and is now gearing up for his next theatrical release, Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film’s release plans are currently being locked, with indications that it may arrive earlier than initially expected.

Mythri Movie Makers had earlier considered releasing the film in early April or May. However, the makers are now keen on an early-summer release. If it hits screens in April, Ustaad Bhagat Singh will become the first major release of Summer 2026, especially with Ram Charan’s Peddi likely moving away from its March 2026 slot.

Banking on the strong post-OG momentum and the advantage of an open summer window, the producers are betting big on the film’s theatrical business and are expecting strong pre-release deals. Netflix has already acquired the film’s OTT rights.

Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh features Pawan Kalyan in the role of a police officer. The film stars Raashi Khanna and Sreeleela as the female leads, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
