Varanasi: Title announced with fanfare

As expected, Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s first collaborative project has been officially titled “Varanasi.” The title had been circulating for months, and the makers finally confirmed it while unveiling a first-look teaser for this action-adventure drama featuring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

The grand event, held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on November 15, 2025, drew massive crowds. Thousands of fans attended in person, while millions watched the live stream on JioHotstar, which also featured special live performances.

Live performances by Shruti Haasan and Divine, fireworks, and a massive screen display were the highlights.

“Varanasi,” featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is slated for a 2027 release. The film is produced by KL Narayana with music composed by MM Keeravani.
