Kamal Haasan: Will keep looking for good script for Rajinikanth
Kamal Haasan has finally addressed why director Sundar C stepped away from the recently announced Rajinikanth-starrer Thalaivar 173. The film is being produced by Kamal Haasan’s banner, Raaj Kamal Films International.
“As a producer, my duty is to look for stories that convince the star. I will continue to look for appropriate scripts. I am also searching for another script for a film in which Rajinikanth and I will act together,” he clarified.
His statement clearly implies that Sundar C’s script did not excite Rajinikanth. What remains puzzling, however, is why the project was announced with such fanfare and why Sundar C issued a clarification so quickly.
Rajinikanth is currently shooting for “Jailer 2,” while Kamal Haasan has announced a new film to be directed by stunt choreographer duo Anbariv.
