Veteran lyricist Sirivennela Sitaramasastry has been admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad after he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The Padma Shri winner was taken to the KIMS hospital in Secunderabad on Saturday evening. He has been facing breathing difficulty for two days.

He is in ICU.
The family members informed the media that his condition is stable. “The treatment is going on for pneumonia patch on his lungs,” the family member said.
Regarded as one of the all-time great lyricists, he has been honoured with the Padma Shri for his contributions to Telugu cinema literature.
