Speculations are rife in political circles that senior actress and the chairperson of Telangana Congress’s publicity and campaign wing Vijayshanti may jump ship to the BJP. There have been such rumors going on for a long.
Lending credence to the speculations, Union Minister Kishan Reddy recently met Vijayashanti and hold a discussion with her for more than an hour. Neither of them made any statement. Vijyashanti has been attacking the ruling TRS government through her tweets.
The current top leadership in the state congress party is not taking her into confidence in making decisions. She has been unhappy in Congress. She also is staying away from the activity.
Vijayashanti recently made a comeback to films. She played a key role in Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster movie, Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Vijayashanti has made many wrong decisions in her political career and never enjoyed the power. She wants to get prominence by joining BJP, which is eyeing to grab power in Telangana. Ahead of GHMC elections, BJP is wooing leaders from other parties and also funding some news channels.
Will Vijayashanti really quit congress and join BJP? If she does, it would be the second time that she would be joining the party.
