The massive success of ‘Uppena’ and ‘Jathi Ratnalu’, which had turned down the OTT offers and waited for theaters to open, has changed the perception about the direct-digital premieres. The theatrical release pays rich dividends is what the stars have concluded. Every star worth their salt now wants their films to have theatrical release first.

Young star Vishwak Sen has also stated the same to their producers about ‘Paagal’. Releasing his films in the theaters is his policy. The film completed its production long back. It was supposed to release in the theaters on May 1, 2021.

Recently, the makers have received lucrative offers from the streaming companies but Vishwak Sen didn’t agree. So, the producers have decided to release it only in theatres and not on streaming sites.

‘Paagal’ is directed by a newcomer and it is produced by Bekkem Venugopal. Dil Raju’s banner is presenting it. The film has Nivetha Pethuraj as the female lead.
