Weekend BO: Swag fares on a modest note
The Sree Vishnu starrer “Swag” was a bold attempt. In the film, he portrayed four distinct characters, and donned various getups. More importantly, he played a role that is considered daring for a Telugu star.
While critics praised Sree Vishnu’s performance and the message the movie drives, they also mentioned that it lacks engaging narrative. Still, it received fairly decent reviews. However, the audience didn’t show much interest.
“Swag” made a gross of Rs 6.5 crore in its first week worldwide. In AP and Telangana, the film grossed under Rs 4 crore in its first weekend, a very low amount.
However, “Swag” performed better in the USA. Overall, the film is facing significant challenges at the box office.
