Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” will not arrive in March, despite strong speculation in recent days. The makers have decided to avoid the crowded release window and are now quietly preparing for an April release.
Speculation about the film stepping into the March slot gained momentum after Ram Charan’s “Peddi” was postponed. Director Harish Shankar also fueled curiosity by actively promoting “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” on social media. However, TeluguCinema.com has reliably learned that the team has ruled out a March release altogether.
According to sources, the makers want the buzz surrounding other major releases, especially Dhurandhar 2, scheduled for March—to settle down before announcing a date. The team also feels the film deserves ample time for post-production, something that would be difficult with a rushed March release.
April is now being seen as a safer and more effective window, and discussions are on to lock the release in the third week of April.
“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” is a high-voltage cop drama with Pawan Kalyan playing a police officer who takes on a powerful and corrupt politician. The film stars Raashi Khanna and Sreeleela as the female leads, marking their first collaboration with the actor.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film features music by Devi Sri Prasad and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Expectations remain high, especially with the Harish Shankar–Pawan Kalyan combination returning after Gabbar Singh.
