Marmadesam Returns: ‘Veerabhadruni Rahasyam’ to premiere on ZEE5

The iconic mystery franchise “Marmadesam” is making a comeback with a new chapter, “Veerabhadruni Rahasyam – From the World of Marmadesam”, premiering on ZEE5 on June 26, 2026. The Telugu original series brings back the franchise’s trademark mix of mystery, folklore, suspense, and supernatural intrigue that made it a cult favorite among television audiences.

Set in the enigmatic village of Veerabhadrapuram, the story revolves around a centuries-old belief that Veerabhadra Swamy punishes wrongdoers. Every time the temple bell rings, a body is found near the shrine, and villagers accept the deaths as divine justice. Fear and superstition govern daily life, with age-old rituals remaining unquestioned.

The mystery deepens when Vennela, a fearless young woman from the city, arrives in the village. Refusing to accept blind faith as an explanation for a brutal murder, she begins investigating the truth behind the deaths, putting her at odds with powerful forces determined to protect long-buried secrets.

As Vennela digs deeper, she uncovers a web of deception, organized crime, and exploitation hidden beneath decades of fear. Through parallel timelines stretching back to the 1970s, the series explores how myths were created and manipulated to maintain power over generations.

Directed by Bheemagani Sri Vardhan Reddy, the series stars Annie, Raghu Kunche, Raghu, SI Ravi, Kamal Thumu, Sireesha, and Anuradha in key roles. Spanning 60 episodes, “Veerabhadruni Rahasyam” will premiere with two episodes on June 26, followed by weekly episode releases.
