New-age romantic comedy, Bun Butter Jam, which became a successful venture in Tamil, has been released in Telugu today. Directed by Raghav Midrarth, this movie stars Raju Jeyamohan, Bhavya Trikha, and Aadya Prasad in the lead roles. CH Satish Kumar released the film in Telugu under the banner Sri Vighneswara Entertainments. Here is the review of it:
Story:
The story revolves around Chandru (Raju Jeyamohan), a timid young man studying engineering. His protective mother, Lalitha (Saranya), has always kept him away from girls. Because he only went to all-boys schools, Chandru is very nervous around young women.
Things change when he falls for his classmate, Nandini (Bhavya Trikha), who is an Instagram junkie. But his mother, Lalitha, has her own plan. She wants Chandru to marry a different girl, Madhumitha (Aadya Prasad). To make this happen, she even has Madhumitha and her mother, Uma (Devadarshini), move into the flat above them.
What happens next? Will Lalitha find out about Chandru’s love for Nandini? What will she do when she comes to know about it? To know the answers, watch the film in your nearest theatres.
Analysis
Raju Jeyamohan does a great job as the lead hero. He has a bright future ahead in Tamil cinema. With his unique mannerisms, he brought his role to life. The lead actress, Bhavya Trikha, is charming on screen and gives a good performance. Aadya Prasad also plays her part well. The two mothers, played by Saranya Ponvannan and Devadarshini, are the highlights with their wonderful comedy.
Music director Nivas K Prasanna delivers fresh and modern tunes for the movie. gives the movie a fresh and modern feel. Songs are good, and so is the background score. The Telugu dubbing has been done well. DOP Babu Kumar excels with his visuals. The production values add richness to the film. Director Raghav Mirdath does a good job amalgamating funny and serious moments. Aside from a few hiccups in emotional scenes, the movie is a great choice for a family weekend.
Overall: “Bun Butter Jam” is a light and enjoyable film. Apart from youngsters, it will also appeal to all people who love peppy, fun dramas.
