Ravi Teja is back with his latest offering ‘Power’. Directed by Bobby and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, the film is mix of all recent Ravi Teja’s movies – ‘Vikramarkudu’, ‘Daruvu’, ‘Balupu’, etc.

Baldev Sahay (Ravi Teja) is a police officer in Kolkota and he is corrupt to the core, but is nevertheless daring and dashing. In an rescue attempt of a dreaded gangster Ganguly (Sampath), the police officer loses his life. The Home Minister of West Bengal (Mukesh Rishi) is frantically looking for the dreaded gangster.

Down south, Tirupathi (Ravi Teja), who happens to be the brother-in-law of Anumuthyam (Brahmanandam) is keen to join the police force. For this he tries all sorts of tricks. Mukesh Rishi chances on Tirupathi one day and convinces him to step in as Baldev Sahay. Tirupathi complies and finds Ganguly and hands him to the Home Minster. But there is more…a twist is revealed. What is the true identity of Tirupathi? What happened to Baldev Saha? Why is the Home Minister hell bent on getting Ganguly? Watch the movie for the rest of the drama.

Performance wise Ravi Teja shines as Baldev Sahay. He looks dashing. He gives full justice to the role and this is one of the best parts of the film. As Tirupathi , Ravi Teja is okay. But one must say, there is hardly any difference in the looks of both the roles. The leading women Hansika and Regina has nothing much to do apart from looking good and supplying glamour to the film.

The first of the film provides us with some good laughs. Brahmi, Sapthagiri, Ravi Teja and Hansika do a good job, making us laugh. Post interval the movie loses its power. There is nothing novel about the movie. We have seen each scene before. It is a concoction of several movies. The director has done a pretty good job with the first half, but the second part and the climax are pretty poor. Songs come and go and none of them impress.

Technically the film is good. Cinematography is fine. Thaman’s tunes sound good to ears. Dialogues of the film are okay. Director Bobby does a neat job, but he should have handled the second half well. Ravi Teja and some comedy scenes are plus points. The second half of the film lets down. Overall, a regular commercial potboiler.

Verdict: Lacks punch but okay movie.
