Rakul on cloud nine

Right now, Rakul Preet Singh is the most sought after actress in Tollywood. Half the movies that are on the sets in Hyderabad feature her as the leading lady. This former beauty queen (Miss India 2011 finalist) made her Tollywood debut with a hit film, Venkatadri Express (2013). Her latest release in Telugu is Loukyam which is doing great business.

You have delivered two hits in Tollywood and have many films on hand. Looks like you are inching towards big slot.

Never thought that my career would take off like this in Tollywood. I am so lucky that my career choices have turned out to be very fruitful. Venkatadri Express was right launch pad for me here.
 
Did you expect that Venkatadri Express would become a hit?

Yes. Because the film has fresh feel. And the narration and my character are interesting but I never expected that the audience would love the film so much.
 
You are doing many films simultaneously.

Not only that I am shooting constantly, I am also virtually living life in suitcases. I am shooting in multiple shifts for three films in a day and I love my work.
 
Bollywood or Tollywood, which do you prefer?
 
At present I am busy with Telugu films and all are interesting projects. I will also continue my Bollywood dreams. I know how to balance my career.
