Coolie Telugu version nears $300k in advance premiere sales

Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and set for worldwide release on August 14, 2025, is generating massive hype through advance sales. The film’s bookings have reached record levels, especially in North America.

For the premiere shows, advance ticket sales crossed the $1 million mark a while ago, with the Tamil version leading the way. However, the Telugu version is not far behind. It has already grossed $270K and is expected to cross the $300K mark in a couple of days. This is a phenomenal number for a film primarily made in Tamil.

This clearly shows the craze surrounding the film. In comparison, the NTR and Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 has yet to touch the $300K mark.

Coolie features an ensemble cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, and Aamir Khan, and is packed with high-octane action sequences, themes of vengeance, and strong social commentary.
