Krish defends Anushka’s absence from ‘Ghaati’ promotions

With “Ghaati” gearing up for release next week, the film’s team interacted with the media at a press meet attended by director Krish, producer Rajeev Reddy, and actors Jagapathi Babu and Vikram Prabhu.
Speaking about the film, Krish said, “Some stories are so natural, raw, and ready to explode. Ghaati is one such story. The Eastern Ghats, its rugged mountains, powerful emotions, strong-willed people, and great minds have all come together to inspire this narrative.”
When asked if lead actress Anushka Shetty skipping promotions would affect the film’s box-office prospects, Krish dismissed concerns.
“Attending or not attending promotions is purely her personal choice. We have no issue with it. Her sterling performance itself will drive the film to success. As Sheelavathi, Anushka has delivered one of her finest portrayals,” he assured.
The director also addressed questions about his exit from Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Brushing aside rumors of differences, Krish clarified, “Pawan Kalyan garu is very dear to me and I admire him greatly. I grew up watching films produced by AM Ratnam garu. I never had issues with either of them. It was COVID-19 and my personal commitments that forced me to step away from the project.”
