Dhurandhar targets $3 million second weekend at US BO

Bollywood film “Dhurandhar” is on a record-breaking run in the North American market, setting new benchmarks with its phenomenal second-weekend performance. The film has already surpassed the long-standing record held by Baahubali 2. On its second Friday, “Dhurandhar” grossed an impressive $930K, comfortably beating Baahubali 2’s $828K second-Friday record.

The momentum only strengthened on Saturday, with collections crossing the $1 million mark and heading towards an estimated $1.3 million by the end of the day. Sunday is also expected to add close to another $1 million.

With these numbers, “Dhurandhar” is poised to collect over $3 million in its second weekend alone, pushing its total North American gross to nearly $8 million.

This marks a massive milestone for a Ranveer Singh starrer, as the film is set to become the biggest hit of his career in the region, surpassing his earlier blockbuster “Padmaavat.”

Interestingly, the film gained even stronger traction after its opening weekend, igniting the box office in its second weekend. Dhurandhar’s dominant run has also overshadowed competing releases, including Akhanda 2, leaving little room for others to thrive.
