Varanasi to feature a Latin-style dance number

Mahesh Babu’s upcoming global project “Varanasi”, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, continues to generate huge excitement among fans. Although the film has been in the making for a while, every small update about it is going viral on social media, especially among Mahesh Babu’s followers.
Mahesh Babu recently returned to Hyderabad after wrapping up a major shooting schedule in Georgia. The next schedule of the film is reportedly planned in Antarctica.

Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra, who plays the female lead in the film, recently mentioned that she is looking forward to shooting with Mahesh Babu in Antarctica.

Amid this buzz, an old interview of veteran choreographer Shankar has resurfaced online and is being widely shared by fans. In the interview, Shankar revealed that Rajamouli had narrated the entire story to him for several hours, leaving him deeply impressed.

He also disclosed that the film will feature a special song starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra.

According to Shankar, the track will be choreographed in a Latin style and will include dancers flown in from the UK. He described it as a unique dance number designed on a grand scale.

The news has excited fans even more, especially after Rajamouli’s song “Naatu Naatu” from RRR won the Oscar for Best Original Song and became a global sensation.

“Varanasi” is currently one of the most anticipated Indian films and is scheduled to release on April 7, 2027.
