Gaayapadda Simham Trailer: A fun take on deportation

The trailer for “Gaayapadda Simham,” starring Tharun Bhascker, was launched today at an event attended by Dulquer Salmaan. It sets up an intriguing premise: Tharun’s character is pushed into heading to the U.S. to fulfill his girlfriend’s (Maanasa Choudhary) wish of settling in America.
The film also introduces JD Chakravarthy in a dark role as a contract killer, while Faria Abdullah adds glamour to the narrative. As revealed in the trailer, the story revolves around deportation, touching upon recent immigration crackdowns in the U.S.
Things take a turn when Tharun Bhascker’s character gets deported, giving meaning to the title Gaayapadda Simham (“wounded lion”). Blending comedy with crime elements, the film also includes playful references to movies like KGF and Salaar.
Directed by Kasyap Sreenivas and presented by Pavan Sadineni, the film features an extended cameo by Sree Vishnu and is slated for a May 1 release.
