Check out these six box office successes from the first three months…

Waltiar Veerayya

Despite its predictable plot, “Waltiar Veerayya,” starring Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja, and Shruti Haasan, surprised everyone with a fantatstic run in all regions. Audiences have responded positively to Chiranjeevi’s vintage acting style, Devi Sri Prasad’s catchy tunes, and Ravi Teja’s episode. Despite mixed reviews, the film grossed an astounding Rs 134 Cr (WW share) at the box office, making it the biggest hit of the year so far.

Mass Mogudu

Since Balakrishna’s previous film “Akhanda” broke box office records and director Gopichand Malineni’s “Krack” set the box office on fire, their first collaboration generated a lot of excitement. This resulted in huge openings for “Veera Simha Reddy” on its first day. The film’s formulaic story and narrative, on the other hand, had limited appeal. Nonetheless, it is the second highest-grossing film in the first quarter of 2023 and the highest-grossing film in Balakrishna’s career. The film grossed Rs 76 crore (share) globally.

Dasara

Nani did extensive promotion for “Dasara” all over India, and the film was made available in five different languages. However, only Telugu version will be a huge financial success. It is too soon to tell how much money the film will make or where it will rank, but the revenge saga is expected to break all of Nani’s previous records. Early trends show, it is going to be a super hit.

Dhanush’s first Telugu film, “Sir,” received mixed reviews, but it performed well at the box office. The Telugu version is a good hit. Directed by Venky Alturi and produced by Naga Vamsi, “Sir” is about education system.

Balagam

“Balagam,” an indie-style drama directed by comedian turned director Venu Yeldandi, has been the year’s biggest surprise hit. The film, which starred Priyadarshi and Kavya Kalyan Ram, is about the importance of family unity. The film, which was made on a shoestring budget, is still playing in theaters. It is expected to earn whopping Rs 15 Cr share in revenue by the end of its run. A genuine blockbuster.

Made on a budget of Rs 2 crore, this film featured Suhas in the role. A small film but made big money for its range. The film collected Rs 4 to 5 crore.
