BO: A disappointing first weekend for ‘Family Star’

Vijay Deverakonda had high hopes for “Family Star” because it was produced by top producer Dil Raju and was directed by Parasuram Petla, who had previously given him his biggest blockbuster “Geetha Govindam”. However, Parasuram disappointed him by directing incoherent drama this time.

And the film received negative reviews from its very first showing. In addition, every time Vijay Deverakonda’s film is released in theaters, a gang targets him.

If the film’s content had been strong, the troll gang’s vicious and planned degrading would not have worked as well, but with such poor script, “Family Star” suffered greatly at the box office.

The first weekend collections are abysmally low, both domestically and internationally. This is his second major flop following “Liger”. Vijay Deverakonda’s previous film “Kushi” performed far better in its first weekend.

In the United States, the film could not even reach $1 million by the end of its first weekend.

Overall, “Family Star” performed very poorly at the box office in its first weekend.
