Dhanush-starrer “Kuberaa” had a decent start at the box office. Although the film was released in multiple languages, it primarily relied on collections from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. The Telugu version saw a decent opening both in the domestic Telugu states and in the USA.
“Kuberaa” could have opened on a bigger scale if it had featured viral songs, like in Sekhar Kammula’s previous films. Still, it managed a respectable start. The film collected a net of Rs 11 crore in India.
In the USA, it grossed more than $800K on the first day and is close to reaching the $1 million mark. This is a big number and marks a terrific opening. Overall, the worldwide gross stands at around Rs 22 – 24 crore on the first day, which is impressive.
