The Bollywood blockbuster “Dhurandhar “ has officially secured its place as the third highest-grossing film in Indian cinema history. The film surpassed the lifetime worldwide collections of “Pushpa 2” to achieve this milestone.
While Aamir Khan starrer “Dangal” continues to hold the top position, followed by S.S. Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2” at number two, Dhurandhar 2 has now claimed the third spot.
Exactly one month after its theatrical release, on April 18, “Dhurandhar 2” crossed a worldwide gross of Rs 1,743 crore, narrowly overtaking Pushpa 2, which had earned Rs 1,742 crore globally. The film is still running in theatres.
However, its box office momentum has slowed significantly in recent days. It remains to be seen whether Dhurandhar 2 can cross the Rs 1,800 crore mark and challenge Baahubali 2 for the second position.
“Dhurandhar 2” starred Ranveer Singh as the lead hero and is directed by Aditya Dhar. “Pushpa 2” starred Allu Arjun and was directed by Sukumar.
