Dhurandhar breaks ‘Pushpa 2’ record on its 33rd day

Bollywood blockbuster “Dhurandhar” continues its historic box office run, rewriting records with remarkable consistency. The Ranveer Singh starrer has now emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, surpassing the long-standing benchmark set by “Pushpa 2” (Hindi version).
On its 33rd day since the December 5, 2025 release, “Dhurandhar” crossed Rs 831.40 crore nett in India, overtaking “Pushpa 2” and claiming the top spot among Hindi films. This achievement firmly places the film at number one in the domestic Hindi box office rankings.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features Ranveer Singh in the role of spy Hamza Ali Mazari, who takes on global terror networks. The film is further strengthened by powerful performances from Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and others. The producers marked the milestone with celebrations, while rival banner Yash Raj Films termed the achievement a landmark moment in Indian cinema.
With most major domestic records now under its belt, “Dhurandhar” has only one major milestone left to conquer. It is yet to surpass “Baahubali 2” in the North American market, a feat that may take some more time given the scale of that record.
