Love Story picks up, Republic gets a decent opening

Sai Dharam Tej starrer ‘Republic’ was released on October 1st. Directed by Deva Katta, the film shown dismal numbers on the first day. However, the social media buzz and word-of-mouth seemed to have a positive effect on the collections. The Sunday collections were better. Overall, it had a decent run at the box office on the weekend its serious content.

It remains to be seen how would it fare in the coming days. 

Despite the competition, Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Love Story’ is holding well. The collections for ‘Love Story’ have shown some growth in the second weekend after the dull show during the weekdays. ‘Love Story’ had an exceptional run in the first four days, but it collapsed during weekdays. Thankfully, the aggressive promotions have come in for help, and the collections picked up in the second weekend.

Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, ‘Love Story’ has collected about Rs 2.5 crore share from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on the second weekend. The film is registering good numbers in Hyderabad.

About 100k dollars from the USA market have been added to its tally in the second weekend. The USA gross now stands at $1.2 million.
