The trend of the second wave of corona cases is adversely affecting the Telugu film collections. For the last two weeks, the footfalls at the multiplexes and single screens are almost nil.
The early releases like ‘Krack’, ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ and ‘Uppena’ have benefited with people showing interest to watch the films in theaters. But now audiences have become extra cautious as the corona cases are on the rise. The dull trend was visible when Nithin’s ‘Rang De’ hit the theaters. It is more evident during last weekend.
Despite good reviews and word-of-mouth, Nagarjuna’s ‘Wild Dog’ could not bring in audiences to the theaters. The collections for ‘Wild Dog’ are pretty low. Released on April 2nd, ‘Wild Dog’ is an action entertainer. Megastar Chiranjeevi heaped the praise on the film as well.
Sulthan a flop
After delivering a sensational movie like ‘Khaidi’, Karthi came up with ‘Sulthan’, but the audiences have not shown interest to watch this film either. This mass entertainer has shown better collections in single screens in some centers but the overall result is a flop.
Vakeel Saab will change the scenario!
Now all eyes on Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Vakeel Saab’. The trade is upbeat about this film as Pawan Kalyan’s star power will set the box office on fire. Despite the corona wave, his fans came to the theaters to see the trailer launch and pre-release event in big numbers. So, ‘Vakeel Saab’ will turn the fortunes for sure.
